Maryland – Forest Gate

So, the family who got on at the stop before persuaded me to do a drawing of Imran, the guy sat opposite, on the proviso that if she liked it, his girlfriend could keep it. In retrospect this wasn’t a great deal, because I didn’t really want to do it in the first place. Anyway, I had about a minute to draw him before I arrived at my stop (I started at Maryland, finished at Forest Gate), and this is what I managed. Nerves got the better of me. It’s rubbish, and it looks nothing like him. But I still finished it in time!

I offered the drawing to his girlfriend, and she replied: ‘Nah, you’re alright.’

Liverpool Street – Stratford

Got off a bit earlier than I hoped… and at that point, a family sat all around me and clocked what I was up to – this led to me doing a sketch of Imran, sat opposite. It was a pretty hairy experience, especially as I don’t do flattery.

Liverpool Street Station

While waiting to leave.

She’s writing a saucy text, I think.
